Act 2 Episode 1 is quickly coming to a close and Episode 2 is arriving in VALORANT for early March.
These new Episodes are a great way to refresh the game from a meta-perspective and an opportunity to inject new content.
A new agent is expected to arrive, Agent 15 has started to be teased in-game.
Patch 2.03 brought in some significant changes, adding the new Escalation mode and not long after we could see more new modes added.
Here’s everything you need to know about Valorant’s Act 2 Episode 2.
Act 2 Episode 2 will begin on March 2nd, as this is when the current Battle Pass expires.
No official patch notes have arrived, but we’re expecting the following to come in the next patch according to VALORANT devs:
AFKs (Target Patch: 2.04)
Over the past several months, we’ve focused much of our efforts on a problem we know is painful to you: AFKs. Even one AFK’d player can turn the tide of a game, and it’s discouraging to know that you’ll have to carry twice as hard for a chance to win. We’ve spent some time working on several features we’re confident will reduce AFKs (both in-game and pre-game) in VALORANT.
CHAT-BASED OFFENSES (Target Patch: 2.04)
We’ve been heads down for a while, and there’s a good reason for that. In addition to AFK’s, we’ve been hard at work improving your experience of communicating with other players in-game.
Say goodbye to “comms bans for all.” To date, we’ve released text moderation for over 11 languages, and we’ve revamped our penalty system for text-based offences. We’ve introduced more nuance to the system, and penalties escalate with both the frequency and severity of the offence.
Players have been really distraught with the recent Reyna nerfs and argue she’s been made almost useless – it wouldn’t be a surprise to see her nerfs reverted.
We will be sure to post the trailer for the new season when it releases closer to the Act being released.
The Premium Battle Pass for Act 2 will cost 1,000 Valorant Points.
Agent 15 will launch with a new Act – as it always does (this being Episode 2: Act 2).
Riot has confirmed in the past that Agent 15 will be the fourth Controller in Valorant’s line-up.
Character producer John Goscicki told players: “We’re trying to push the boundaries when it comes to Agent abilities in Valorant, and so far, everything we’ve thrown at you has been less disruptive than we thought they’d be,”
“Our next Controller is a cosmic shift from the play patterns you’ve grown accustomed to. This one is for all you ‘galaxy brain’ players out there that like to study everything that happens on a map.”
